This policy explains how iSold uses cookies and similar browser technologies to operate and improve the marketplace.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. iSold may also use related technologies such as local storage and session storage. In this policy, “cookies” refers to these technologies together.
2. Essential cookies
Essential cookies support authentication, account security, session management, fraud prevention, and core marketplace features. The service may not work correctly if these cookies are blocked.
3. Preference storage
We use browser storage to remember choices such as your selected country, city, search filters, and interface preferences so you do not need to set them again on every visit. Your selected or detected country and city are also kept in a cookie named isold_loc (for up to one year) so we can show ads and categories popular in your city as soon as the page loads.
4. Performance and measurement
We may record technical events such as listing impressions and clicks to understand marketplace performance and improve results. Session storage can help avoid counting the same listing impression repeatedly during one browser session.
5. Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics through Firebase to understand how iSold is used, such as which pages are visited and whether people contact or share a listing. This sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, and shares usage data with Google. In the European Union and EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we ask first: nothing is loaded and no analytics cookies are set unless you accept, and if you decline or never choose, analytics stays off. In other countries analytics is on by default. Everywhere, you can change your choice at any time using the button below or “Cookie settings” in the site footer; turning analytics off stops collection and removes these cookies. We estimate your country from your IP address to decide whether to ask, and remember that result on your device for up to 7 days.
6. Authentication providers
When you sign in through an external authentication provider, that provider may set its own cookies to authenticate you, protect your account, and prevent abuse. Its use of cookies is governed by its own policies.
7. Managing cookies
You can review, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may sign you out, reset saved preferences, or prevent parts of iSold from working. Browser controls vary by device and provider.
8. Updates and contact
